Another young, English, female, pop singer songwriter. Starting to think I must have a secret desire to be one of these ladies, considering this, this and this.
Anyways, bought her whole album spontaneously on itunes after getting excited about one track (which wasn't actually as good when i heard the full songs...stupid misleading 30 second previews) which is allrriight. Very similar to Joss Stone in my books except that I don't hate her.
So the album is pretty mediocre, but I think this girl has potential. As a blogger/journalist (yeah those two things probably deserve much more of a distinction than a forward slash but anyways); when she maybe makes a really amazing album in a few years, I can be all "pff Polly Gibbons...she's so 2008" -- even though her album came out in 2006 but no one will be that in-the-know at the moment so they'll just accept my condescension as truth -- in conclusion: Polly Gibbons = nice voice, bad album (except The Game, a very good track), needs some better production on her music, could be amazing in a few years with the right people.
