It always seems that when I'm in toronto, I'm missing a bunch of great gigs in london (ie Soul & "Pimp" sessions doing a rare show at Roundhouse a week after I left), and when I'm in England, I'm missing something in Toronto.
I am gutted to be missing the following:
Futureheads - 20th Sept - TBA
Lykke Li - 24th Oct - Mod Club
Chairlift - 25 Oct - Horseshoe Tavern WITH YEASAYER!!!
I'm sure there are more but those are the ones that elicited a little frustrated forehead slap.
Speaking of missing performances, although I've generally had a feeling of indifference towards most gigs lately (with a few expections i.e above), there are some artists I am dying to see and, even though many of them have been on tour, I keep missing them:
-M.I.A
-Cool Kids
-Jose James
-Lykke Li
-Santogold
-Andre 3000 -- I know that's a long shot.
Anyways if anyone can make these t.o shows, go and do me proud. That is, loudly say OH I LOVE THIS SONG!! and at the end of the show, find the artist and say something embarrassing.
