GIGS: Devil's Gun & Fertile Ground

ps i forgot: Went to a Devil's Gun gig -- an electro/house-y group -- in London at Metro a month or so ago, a-mazing. Apparently the emcee of the group is mad popular in East Europe and has done shows of 100 K? In any case it seems like they've been getting a lot of hype and I reeeallly hope they become famous so i can be all like 'oh yeah, devils gun? i partied with them after a live gig. no big deal.' and i did! and maybe i'd say something really obnoxious like 'devils gun? by the end of the night i was calling them devils FUN!' and no one would laugh but me. but at least i seized the opportunity to be condescending!

Also checked out Fertile ground which i previously mentioned at the Jazz Cafe in London, also an amazing show. There is something slightly mediocre about them or maybe I'm confusing mediocrity with their apparent inherent resistance to professionalize (and thus I suppose commercialize) their music -- their myspace quote is even "heavyweights of the underground" anyways i grabbed a couple of their albums at their show because they were CHEAP in comparison to amazon/hmv, "Black is..." their most recent venture is aieet, "Seasons change" is excellent however. Given though I haven't given Black is as much time because its a bit less catchy then seasons change.

anyway possibly some devils gun video later should i get the time.
