After showing my dad the wonders of itunes, he bought some seeerious gems I never would have heard of otherwise ie "60's Rock Instrumental Collection Vol.2" as recorded by The Ventures...who are apparently one of the most popular rock instrumental bands out there. who knew? actually...probably a lot of people. anyways there was also some stinkers he bought ie Cliff Richards, Elvis, but the 60's rock instrumental....yes please.
also got my hands on Martha Wainwright's "I Know You're Married But I've got Feelings too" LP which i LOVE. go buy it.
